Middle East situation

But they did burn them, probably more horrific
And Israel has been extensively bombing civilians with white phosphorus munitions. Their use against civilians is considered a War Crime.

The usage of white phosphorus is restricted under international humanitarian law. Although there can be lawful uses, it must never be fired at, or in close proximity to, a populated civilian area or civilian infrastructure, due to the high likelihood that the fires and smoke it causes spread. Such attacks, which fail to distinguish between civilians and civilian objects and fighters and military objectives, are indiscriminate and thus prohibited.

White phosphorus is an incendiary substance mostly used to create a dense smoke screen or mark targets. When exposed to air, it burns at extremely high temperatures and often starts fires in the areas in which it is deployed. People exposed to white phosphorus can suffer respiratory damage, organ failure and other horrific and life-changing injuries, including burns that are extremely difficult to treat and cannot be put out with water. Burns affecting only 10 percent of the body are often fatal.

No proof of that either. Current investigations say the family probably placed them live in the oven, as a safe hidey hole. Obviously weren't expecting Isreal to bomb the shit out of their home.

Perhaps cooked by white phosphorous?
so, Israel killing their own people. There were reports of that happening in the October 7th attack chaos. Israeli tanks and aircraft firing on positions where Israeli civilians were caught in the 'unfriendly fire'.

Glad you fellas weren't around during the end of the 2nd ww.
Me personally, would gladly sacrifice 225 thousand enemy civilians to save 50 thousand of my own soldiers.

I don't think you can believe much of what's in the media from both sides other than what you can see happening on the ground.

Too true, we are all basing our opinions by what we are being told by all sorts of media.

Everyone one on here is always talking about how you can't trust the news, newspaper ect ect UNLESS it suits their side of the story, then the media is telling the truth

Little clip, Hommus spokesman runs from harsh questions, bit like the so called military side

This is a really good breakdown (non-clickbait hyperbole) with an international human rights lawer. Listen to the whole thing as the concluding remarks are important. Everyone should listen to this and @mas2 this might help expand on some of the arguments made above without all of the vitriol and retoric.

I listened to the last 10.minutes. fully agree.
I doubt if Hamas would do any sort of deal though. It's up to the Palestinian public to destroy the clowns and get on with having a real life

Its one of the challenges we have today, no one is willing to listen to the whole thing. For example there was some very inportant parts about how ocupying forces are responsible for rebuilding the government of the occupyed area for the civilians because the occupyer has destroyed the institutions of government. This isnt an easy sound bite that we can just cherry pick and understand the situation.

The last 10 min is good but to understand it properly you need to listen to the whole hour.

Put it on headphones and go for a ride thats how I find the time to listen to long form info.

Merry fucking Xmas to you assholes
If you're trying to make out that Israel is indiscriminately shelling then I'm not buying it. That looks like Fallujah after the marines did months of house to house CQB or the green line in Beirut during the civil war.

If you want to see what indiscriminate shelling looks like look up before and after photos in Ukraine of places like Bakhmut and Mariupol. Pretty much most of Syria but especially Hama in 1982. Monte Casino in Italy. Or most of eastern France in world war 1.
