I haven't been into footy so much after my beloved Illawarra Steelers were taken away from first grade but I do watch it with pals on big matches. Seeing the stuff this year supporting jai Arrow has been amazing though, changing the rules to allow the guy to clock up 100 matches with South Sydney by running on is a really cool thing to do. Well played NRL.
 
The Tour de Gorge cycling event is on tomorrow out in the Pilliga Nature Reserve. The local NPWS crew has put on the event every year for nearly 15 years with all profits going to a local charity (this year it's the local Volunteer Rescue Association). It's long been an MTB event on the fire trails but with the rise of gravel bikes they are slowly becoming a big part of it.

Generally, participation is limited to 150 riders due to access and parking. However, this has never really been an issue. Til now. And here's the LTiL: Heard from the event manager this afternoon...when online registrations closed yesterday they had 131 people paid up and ready to roll. That's a new record by a long shot and doesn't include those who'll show up on the day (like The Lad!).

I haven't registered either but that's because I'm volunteering as a ride supervisor for those doing the 50 km loop!

I live in the next town - and last year had a stroke so was unable to give it a go - but are a little more keen this year
and yeah for full embarrassment - will either be on a fat-bike or my 3 speed masi !
