Sounds pretty cool! Having walking trails is I good idea IMO as it keeps a part of the community happy that often opposes MTB projects.

that part of the world has great walking already so makes sense to add to it. Lithgow has a pretty poor reputation so would be great to see it revived as a dstination. having the highway closed for 2 years wont be helping

Never the 2 should meet. People on foot (especially old people and trail runners) can not help themselves! They are always dragging their arses onto bike trails and having fit when they encounter a bike, but somehow you have a bike near their trails and it is chaos.
Good to see more trails. May the goons of the region unite.

Yes, the die hard (old) bush walkers really don't like MTB trails for some reason. I always thing that the best solution is to have separate trails.

Not just the oldies (though they do often engage in obvious sabotaging - inconvenient logs across the trail etc) around here. Just endless numbers of dim wits that just wander on whatever they wish.
Old man's valley has been pretty funny too with the refreshed walking trails in the area. Crisp fresh obvious and sign posted walking trail? No thanks...ill walk down the eroded shitty clearly marked bike trail thanks.

Super excited, it’s a pretty depressing riding wasteland out this way.

Finally back on the bike after a few weeks off as ordered by the doctor, I did use my ebike but I had to start somewhere, mainly flat stuff at the Youies with my mate, then amongst all the shit talking we actually punched out some K’s, in the end 42k’s over 2.5 hours of ride time, got to be happy with that.
