Alan Joyce is slipping into retirement two months early with a $24 million pay packet
That's the kinda dough you have to pay to get the best talent, apparently. So we will be told as business editors laud him while we weep.

We used to fly with Qantas when ever we traveled overseas. We stopped a few years a go because of shitty service, on line and on the ground, outrages pricing and destruction of bicycles, skis, etc.

Outsourcing of maintenance makes them a scary prospect as well.

Gonesky thank goodness. The new ceo and the board should go for their parts in this destruction of an icon it was on their watch.

That little prick new how to work the government with the Chairman's Lounge membership being invitations only exclusively given by the CEO, fair to say they were only granted to useful people.

Staff clapping and high fives on flights today.
It's going to take more than his 15 years to restore the reputation and the fleet.
Still it's made my day for this self proclaiming hero of QANTAS to be forced out in this fashion.

Dissapointing that he will avoid any accountability.
my thoughts as well, being forced out, massive bag of cash in hand isn’t enough.

taking money for a service you know you aren’t going to provide is fraud and prosecution should follow. Yes qantas will be fined however if you want to discourage this sort of behaviour then the poison dwarf should be punished.

the shareholders should revolt and launch a class action putting the brakes on the payout pending the fines

He sent Vanessa this montage as a welcoming presentation.

I think Vanessa has been placed in the box seat, for the following reasons:-

1. she is a chick
2. she is not the poison dwarf
3. she is a chick

seriously the hate for Joyce is massive (apart from some shareholders), she will be seen as a fresh start and I think that noobest of PR execs could capitalise on that.

Just posted a whole bunch of those collectors cards from Woolworths to my brother for his little kids. I have attached a letter, I'm not sure he will read it to them.

Dear boys,

Here is a bunch of cards that Woolworths have given me (and a lot of other people) as a bribe. They want us to forget that they don't pay their staff properly and that their corporate greed is the primary reason for grocery inflation. Stay kind and be generous.
