Wouldn't like that mechanism buried deep in the super sealed Deviate Highlander seat tube. The Deviates among us know ;)
Carbonda FM1003's have the same issue. Though this was the opposite problem in fact. It'd just dried out inside. Given I'd never serviced it since I got it in May 2019 (Didn't realise it had been quite that long...),it's probably going okay all things considered.

I plan to buy another copy later in the year, but will limp this one along a bit longer in the meantime. ;)

If I don't fight it I won't make 50!
I would definitely rank it below riding a bike by a long way for fitness but the fun is through the roof.

I've rode, raced, trained hard and won races or placed over the years, it was always for fun and the fitness came for free.

Fck the stigma, they are awesome fun and you still sweat like a chunt... just doesn't have that hard training feel as flow just flows easily.

One of the benefits of the currently partially jail broken specialised/brose system is the BLEvo software can connect to a Bluetooth heart rate strap and continuously adjust motor power levels to keep your heart rate in the target zone. Can also set minimum power levels the rider contributes or motor power is disabled.

I know a bloke who used to race, commute and all the good stuff, next thing he has a hole in his heart and cant have his HR over 140bpm, hes ridden an eeb for about 7yrs now and continues to ride as much as he did before diagnosis.

That's good if you train in zone 2, it's hard keeping the heart rate down when you do extended climbs.

Turbo and a low gear.

I haven't and cant see a use yet for 52... don't even believe I've been in 42 apart from by accident.

This is on a SRAM 12spd cassette at 10-12-14-16-18-21-24-28-32-36-42-52.

The optimum cadence on an ebike with correct gear selection makes the granny too torquey and unstable at slow speeds.

I really don't know why they spec Ebike with 50 to 52 cassettes. 10/11 to 42 in a 10 speed would be plenty.

I have never had any luck running Continental tyres. They often have tread patterns I like the look of, and each time I have given them a chance something has gone wrong with the tyre. Sure most of it has been beyond the control of Continental (like glass or rock cutting the tyre open) but it has always left me feeling the tyres carry a terrible curse.
