They would both be very welcome, ardbeg in particular!

Some nasty Australian "Ned whisky".
I don't whiskey or whisky but my mate's love Ardbeg and similar peaty distillations. I have watched on amusedly as they discuss the flavours and nose of these drinks.

I'd never heard of it until it was placed on my mail box. A bit of a scroll through their website and I see the car racing...so I see how my pusher probably became aware of it.

I figured I could make a cocktail with it and that would work. So I turn to my favourite whisky cocktail - the Boulevardier. Nope! Still a fail. Keep an eye on the cooking thread for whisky recipes.

To their credit they have found a useful purpose for it...

Is there such a thing as bad free whisky ?
Yes...yes there is.

Get err doused with coke and down the hatch !
Ahhhh...no. no I won't. I don't drink coke.

Just like coffee, many a distillation has complex and diverse flavours.

Same. I think it was February 1996. I forgot to start again.
I went about 15 years, maybe a little more. The financial savings were probably substantial, but I just diverted the funds to other consumables.
