Little Things You Hate

You may need to do some digging to get the full details behind this but in a nutshell; it looks like Toby Price and his co driver have been caught putting big rocks on a track in a desert race trying to slow the competition down. The co driver has quit and now so has Toby. If you dig deeper there's videos of them being caught in the act but it doesn't specifically show it so you can only assume.

Two things in life are free and we should exploit the shit out of it: Honesty and good manners. We've seen Toby Price kick some incredible goals but if this turns out to be a sabotage to cheat your way to a good result then yeah; that's a real fucking shame to see.

That's pretty bad if it is true, but it sounds like the video isn't cut and shut as well.
This was what Toby as put out....
"The video that is circulating does not provide evidence of me placing any rocks, the witness statement does not provide evidence of me making any rock placement and the conversations at the site where the video was taken were not with me except for me telling a girl I was ok when asked and that I was clearing a new line."

To a certain degree. I can see how the allegations being aired would create an instant bad vibe, that would get super heated if Price and his Navigator won the race.
For the sake of the event, and to calm the farm a bit, it was a better decision to withdraw from the race entirely.

I'm not saying he did or didn't do anything dodgy, and unfortunately the stink from this will persist whether he cheated or was honest.

He was even on A Current Affair, Small business owner takes stand against bad Google reviews. Every business is going to have difficult customers, like the ones that get upset when a company won't take back a non stock special order part when the customer changes their mind. However if there are a lot of complaints, at least some of them are likely to be legitimate. In my case he shipped a different incompatible part to what I ordered, then refused to take it back or replace it with the correct part.

I like part of the Google AI summary for the company "Wayne's Wholesale Spares, specializing in appliance parts with locations in WA, has garnered attention for a combative approach to customer service, receiving both praise for fast, expert service and criticism over, at times, contentious interactions."

Based on the reviews, orders mostly go smoothly, with the correct parts arriving in a reasonable time frame, however if they make a mistake, don't expect any resolution.

Not making excuses for any behavior of anyone - I can only imagine the pressure your are under to satisfy sponsors and fans and your own drive - I bet it often drives people to make very poor decisions.

I am reminded of an interview with an Olympic swimmer that won gold - The underwater camera coverage caught him using a illegal dolphin kicks whilst underwater in the race to win (judges were not allowed access to the footage they had to observe from above the water) - When questioned the swimmer stated he did cause everybody else does it and to be competitive he had to do it - Only the footage clearly showed only he did it - but the justification in his mind was he was only keeping up with the other cheats

He clearly knew what was being done and didn't stop it. That's as much to blame if you ask me.

I caught an elite rider twice on a race weekend I was running clearing some roughage behind the tape of a race line. The plan was Daddy (absolute fucking douchebag) would stand there for his race run, move the tape so he could snake the line then put it back up. I didn't act on emotion of finding this out and I let it go ahead without them knowing I knew. I was a time before phone cameras recording everything and I had a pal use his digital camera to record it. After the race was run I fronted the Dad and the entitled little shithead kid. He crashed on his run and didn't finish anywhere significant. I showed them what we had and I said I knew of it before they did it. They tried to deny it with dad saying he saw him coming and thought he was crashing so he protected him by moving the scary tape. Yeah right. I reminded them the benefits of understanding karma and told them I'd be advising other course builders that these guys are sneaky cheaters and with this kid wanting a pathway to get on World Cup's that it'd make for a rough run.



They NEVER showed up to another bike race. Fucking cheats.

Another bike has then been plonked on top of that luggage, and a pram, and more luggage, and 1 elderly lady. Fucking good work people...this train leaving central must have coincided with the first burst of airport escapees this morning.

There's some shit 'Travel Associates' ad on telly at the moment where the guy talks about the "important" things he does being "a travel designer". Imagine working for people so cashed up you can change the name of your job to something that gets their rocks off because they think they're paying for something special.

He's a fucking travel agent FFS.

Its all the swooping bends and rises - makes it feel like a racetrack so you've gotta give in a tickle through there. Bonus points for wide open throttle in the tunnel.

I can deal with it when it's in the 3 lane section, it's when it's in between the round-a-bouts and the turn off to Fyshwick and the nurseries (which is where it's at its worst). There has been two cars pass me going at about 140/150 weaving in and out of traffic missing other cars by less than 100mm. Couldn't believe my eyes.

easter show disruptions are an annual thing but the drivers it brings who dont know where they are going but are in a rush to get there. two lanes go straight into the main car park buit the left lane decides hes going first and turning right, changes lanes 8 times in a hurry then just stops on the road
