Our standard of driving is diminishing. Also reflected in the road toll. There are no doubt cars are safer, so how come the road toll is so high?

Anecdotally I'd say it's cus cars are too easy to drive now so attention standards are crap. James May once said if you grafted a big metal spike to the steering wheel of every car the road toll would drop to zero....

have to say between the m1 from sydney to central coast and the m1 gold coast to brisbane its a close call on the worst commute in the country
Agree, too easy to drive and too many distractions.
Whole experience is too isolating giving false sense of security. Too many SUVs and dual cab cuck trucks which brake and handle like complete ass doesn't help.

Cars are way too easy to get complacent in now. I was insistent that my 16 year old learnt to drive in a manual despite the protestations of his mother. Paid for dual control vehicle lessons as we don't have a manual, and back in the day that was how I learnt to drive one. After he had several lessons I stuck him in a neighbour's old Honda Jazz for a driving lesson. First thing that happens when he goes to take off is the car starts rolling backwards and he has a panic. Turns out the lessons he'd been taking were in a car with hill start control. Glad I paid through the nose for those lessons....

SYD to 'Gong must also be worth a mention, seen some absolute porkchops on that road, fucking endangering everyone around them, usually in a eyebrow raising pos van or 25 year old Hilux held together with duct tape and hope.
6am, Parkes Way Canberra, 90km zone.
Every day there will be some one ripping along there, sometimes passing in between cars with millimeters to spare, at 120km+. Every day. Without fail. I've only recently started driving along there at those times and don't know how long it's been like this, but there will be a death at some point due to this behaviour.

Don't worry, the German Autobahns are going to shit as well (but nowhere near as bad as Australia). It used to be the third lane was only for serious speed but now there are an increasing number of twits that just sit in that lane doing 150km/h. Undertaking is a very big no-no but now I've observed this a couple of times because of the third lane morons. I think there is an increasing lack of law enforcement. Also, in holiday season there are a lot of non-German drivers who either don't know the rules or don't care.
On the plus side, the pile-ups rarely exceed several hundred vehicles...

I was getting something out of storage in the garage when something hit me in the head. Turned out to be a wheel from my evoc bike bag that is resting on to of the shelves. Seems now I get to look for the axle that fell out in my tip of a garage.

try to remove your credit card details
maybe the app is better.. but tryign to remove card details from your "shop account" when you haven't opened a shop account.. is a PITA.
only way is to delete the "account", and hope they delete your credit card data after 30 days...
it's the auto-fill of Ccard info on a new site that uses SHOP, because you previously bought something on a different site that processed through SHOP in the background, that annoyed me (not having opened a SHOP account or allowed savign of card data)... I don't want SHOP prefilling my card data when i haven't given them permission to do so, across vaqrious unconnected vendors, and i couldn't remove my card data from them

PayPal denied a claim I made against an Australian retailer who supplied items that were different to what I ordered.
With all the messages that went back and forth with PayPal, I still don't know if I was dealing with stupid humans or poor AI. I have not used PayPal since.

Ahhhhhhhh cunts. They are kind of everywhere...I have joined a train at hornsby station and hooray there are many people on it! But then...sombudget dirodi dildo has consumed all the bike spaces with their hunk of shit and vanished. Then some lazy people have pulled their luggage in the area and vanished to the area with lots of space for their luggage. Another bike has then been plonked on top of that luggage, and a pram, and more luggage, and 1 elderly lady. Fucking good work people...this train leaving central must have coincided with the first burst of airport escapees this morning.
