CAN bus problem is not looking good for Bridgestone world solar car race in 3 weeks. Can not get motor to play nice.
Supposed to be dynamic testing tomorrow morning...speed/slalom/brakes,etc. Shits me that after 2 years of work on chassis/body that muppets in charge of wiring have left this to last minute and have NFI what the problem(s) are.

Canbus gremlins are the worst… Only car that genuinely beat me was a canbus gremlin

Canbus is great tech. @boyracer Probably telling you to suck eggs but you absolutely need to look at the signal waveforms using a DSO and make sure the signal looks good. You will know straight away if the wiring is an issue.

Wifey's 2017 Mazda CX-9 has cracked its head and turbo housing.

6 years old and 84,000km on. Not fucking happy. To make it slightly worse, the issue was picked up during a routine service last week at an independent workshop. Car is currently in bits with the exhaust off, k-frame out, turbo out etc. So will have to get the car towed to the dealer with a box of parts.

There is a TSB in the states for this issue, and Mazda have been replacing complete long engines. Of course, there is no tsb here. Let's see how the dealer is going to handle this one.......

It's unfortunate as it was a reasonably good car to drive and could fit 3 massive kid seats across the back. Got the ball rolling with the local mazda dealer (the dealer I bought it off couldn't give a shit).

Missus is now rolling in my 200 series and pissing off all the ev mums at the school drop off by blocking their vision at the intersection ha.

It's annoying though, we were planning on getting rid of it and downsizing to an ev in the next year or two (as we will be free of booster seats). Once it's fixed we are getting rid of it asap.

She was already doing that in the cx9 ;)

Saw a woman doing drop-off at the local primary school on an e bike, as in a "proper" knobbly tyre mountain bike. Get your wife onto it, more fun that the kiddie crusher cx9 thing :)

Yeah but if you are going to do it, do it properly.

Our son isn't far off being sent to school on his bike. No chance getting my missus on a bike anymore, last time was at Daisy Hill and it just about killed her haha.

I wouldn't ride around Kenmore on the road, I think the ghost bike is still there where someone was flattened by a tip truck.

Yeah there has been a couple, one got cleaned up between Kenmore Plaza and Kenmore Village, and someone else died just up the hill past Pullenvale Marketplace (near our place).

When I lived in Chapel Hill and worked in Pullenvale I often considered riding to work but couldn't do it, that road is a death wish.

As opposed to the cargo bikes, which actually look cool
Agree. Just down Lenah Valley Road from you past the big bus stop is Brushy Creek Road. I regularly see a woman on an orange cargo bike with two young kids come out of there. One in a school uniform. Then some days I would see her heading back up Lenah Valley Road with the youngest and a load of supplies. Wish these had been around when ours were little.

Yep, we see her come past the house regularly. Have followed her along the road past the cheese factory a couple of times too, and she gets along pretty well on it - of course there is always some nob squeezing past her to save 5 seconds on their life ...

There's another bloke on a yellow one with one kid on it now too, looks like a new purchase.

A windy day, so my house is resonating to this sound from my fuckwit neighbours balcony... Hope it stops before I need to sleep!

Mick Hannah's wife does the same. Top of the link Fox Factory/Shimano XTR equipped Yeti with a child seat on the top tube :)

Bit of ingenuity and the 5L has a new home?
