I may have found I can get hold of 18650 Led lenser batteries. If you can figure out how to make it not bounce the cells off the springs and lose contact let me know.
Is that $50 for 1 battery?I may have found I can get hold of 18650 Led lenser batteries.
Now I can 100% tell you these are quality batteries/cells with very little to no loss over about 3 years and more.
3000 mAh, 3.6V rechargeable 18650 battery - suitable for the MT10, MH10, MH11, H8R, F1R, P7R, M7R, ML6, NEO10R, iH8R, iH11R and the P6R Core, Work and Signature ranges.ledlenser.com.au
Now if I can find a decent battery holder with overvoltage, overcharging, overheating cut-out with springs that dont turn the light out, that would be awesome.
Anyone tried these ?

A wee bit different than the ones above, a decent battery pack would be a great start. Thinking 4 x 18650's.
Why do you need more light? Your present setup sounds pretty good?Still looking at semi-decent lights... just remember I will probably end up buying 3 of them so no point telling me Exposure Maxx-D and Joystick on the helmet, yeah someday when I get rid of 2 boys.
The ideal situation is for the 3 of us to run the same lights then they are interchangeable.
The Magicshine MJ906 seems a well priced light for the lumens and runtime, tests have it nowhere near the claimed 5000lm but still up at 2500lm at 115 minutes is pretty good for $250.
Have looked at quite a few others, Niterider, Gloworm, Cygolite, Serfas... all around 2500lm or more for around 120 minutes on high.
We currently run Cleanskin Duos on the bars and have 3 x Lezyne 1100XL's with the spare battery packs, though I run an AyUp on my helmet instead.
Any others worth considering in the $250'ish price range ?
Its not bad, the Duos are really good - cheap lights but the batteries are fukt and I would like a little bit more spread. Have ordered more Chi batteries but they will go the same way.Why do you need more light? Your present setup sounds pretty good?
That's the way I would have gone for my bar light if I hadn't already owned a little Gloworm set.long thread on mtbr, awesome beam spread from the looks of itWinner of Pinkbike.com's "Best Overall Bike Light" | Engineered precision combines with a passion for lighting to create incredible bike lights.www.outboundlighting.com

I keep eyeing off the Lezyne 1800i lights. I have the 1500i and it's great. Being able to toggle between 'enduro" and full- 700 to 1500 lumen is great. Self contained and last 1.5hrs on full. The 1800 can run a bar remote which costs $20. Plus you can get the external pack for it which gives you 3hrs on full. Its not bad, the Duos are really good - cheap lights but the batteries are fukt and I would like a little bit more spread. Riding in Belair NP at night for around 1+ hour is literally dodging roos, they just sit there in the bushes till you are beside them then hop out. The extra spread and lumens will definitely help.
I have not actually been hit by one yet, loads of very close shaves but #2 son got smashed upside down by a panicked skip, he was pretty happy about it as he thought it was a great story to tell... never worry about the torn Fox jersey.
