Iran: so how f***ed are we all?

Aus March fuel stats out..
Diesel had a slightly bigger March than usual, but not bigger than usual yearly peak/s. (petrol didn't actually change much)
Bringing some demand forward a few weeks or month, maybe sucked up the available supply (which would have been ordered in months before based on previous consumption), will be slightly interesting to see if April/May sales drop.

now supposedly more fuel on ground than before war, 50+ boats on water.... price not far off pre-war

April Data now... seems just brought foward a bit of diesel demand from April and maybe May, but not massive.
only slight change to petrol... so did it really need to go up so much after all? :p

prices last week were already decently below pre-Donald prices (despite strait still being closed etc etc)

Point 1, no threats..

“No, it’s not final. It’s a memorandum of understanding, and if I don’t like it, we’ll go back to shooting at them, dropping bombs on their head,” Trump said, speaking next to Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi at the G7 Summit in Évian-les Baines, France.

“If they don’t behave, we’ll go back to dropping bombs right smack in the middle of their head,” he continued..

Aaand theeeen

Trump said the alternative to the agreement would be “a worldwide depression.”
“The stupid people want to have a worldwide depression,” the president said.

"Both" past, present and future...

I thought this was widely known. It's been talked about for a while by some observers. As to whether it was a deciding factor in the latest questionable choice comes down to how much you accept the "it's all about the oil, stupid" proposition. So yes, probably.

I had seen it speculated on/off but nothing so concrete as trump spelt outin the ramblings. I expect they have a pretty good idea what running out of fuel looks like after extorting Cuba for the last couple of months.

"but they don't need the oil.. they just invaded out of habit"... allegedly

reserves down from 415 to 340mil barrels, but world demand exceeding supply.. surely the US is not concerned with plight of other countries?

Except when, as I understand it, most US oil sources aren't actually economically useful as a source for gasoline...
