Trump is a complete idiot but you knew that.
He starts a war about nothing, Iran menaces the strait of Hormuz in retaliation .
Trump threatens them with war crime material ,what would you do?
1.Would you open it , let them go away , then close it unless ships pay a toll.
2, Just close it and keep it closed.
3. Open it with a treaty, if the US agrees to go home.
4.Open it.
I would try for 1 or 3 .

At the extreme end, the speculation is that there was no rescue. It was used as cover for a raid on an Iranian nuclear power plant in an attempt to steal some uranium. The basis is that the rescue force and equipment was far bigger than needed and landed 200km or so from the area where the rescue was to take place, but close to a nuclear power plant. That a sizeable fight took place and a bunch of usa aircraft were destroyed causing the uranium heist to fail. Reluctance to go for the heist was also the reason those generals were sacked. Or similar things of that nature.
 
US originally said dozens of aircraft/drones and hundreds of troops, and a big firefight.. but later said no firefight...

For some odd reason, 2x C130s and 2-4x Blackhawks landed (at abandoned airstrip) but all had mechanical trouble at same time, weirdly, so had to be put down ($3-400mil? +A10 and the OG F15 + half a dozen reapers?)

They did land quite some distance away, but that could have been a marshalling point? Is quite sus.

But as they say,
"how can you tell an American is lying?"
"Their lips are moving" 🤣

Or was that Russians?

At 1AM AEDT, (?10am Wed?) he either Tuesday TACOs from his final non-negotiable deadline... (preferable and likely)

Or he commits war crimes the size of which haven't been seen since 2nd world war(?)

Iran have claimed they shot a rescue aircraft down.

Weird how normally when the US rescues a pilot he's all over the news within 2 hours giving interviews and thanking his rescuers. The guy they apparently rescued has been very quite.
 
US appears to be bombing Kharg island now... Israel is taking out railway bridges....

ALso, Vance has gone to Hungary to "support" Orban... put "people are saying" it's so 25th amendment proceedings can't be started while he's away?

not content with War Crimes... now literally threatening genocide?

The ones running the show in Iran no are the Military and that would be the Iranian Revolutionary Guards and they would the the most radicalised of all of them! Trump clearly doesn't have a clue and is just bumbling his way through this mess that he has created.

It is utterly amazing and equally scary that all of the perpetually stupid world of Donald is still going on the way that it is now.

Every single day there is something stupider than the day before. I just hope that he doesn't steal a third term as he has been hinting.
Surely he needs to retire and go play golf instead.
