IPF valve to Fox rear shock

It’s the valve core itself that sets the rated working pressure. There is some licensing bs still going on with real Schrader valve cores. The place I bought the last packet of 800psi cores from in the USA said “you never got these from us ok”.

The fox IFP pellet stopper screw thread is 5/16-24 UNF

RP3, launched in the early 2000’s used the same 5/16-24 pellet thread. There isn’t a whole lot of space for anything bigger.

The new fitting I got is about the same size. The thread is the problem. It’s a lot closer together, I can only get it in a quarter turn before it seizes

I’m sure you’re right. I’m definitely deep into the “google dyor” with this and just parroting what I read.

im guessing that teknik m8 one fits because the threads are close enough and it only screws in a few turns

any tips on where would have the 5/16 24 unf and might be open on a weekend?

cheers pm sent!

I give up haha. I tried a 4wd suspension specialist, a proper auto parts store and i even gave bmcr.com.au a call, their site says they dont send shocks off to get serviced so was hoping they'd have a fox replacement valve on hand but no luck
