im getting a new bike soon,Norco One25 which is $1549 at Melbourne BIcycle Centre, and i want to cut the price as low as i can, around $1300 is this possible? how much off do you think i could get?
ill also be getting helmut,lock and gloves

best thing to do is get them to throw in gloves and helmet in with price... they are much more likely to do that rather than drop it to $1300... you could use that as a backup plan and try the $1300 first..

depends how "friendly" you are with your LBS, sometimes you can get things at a discount if the shop thinks you are a customer who will help promote the image of there store, it's not direct sponsorship or anything, just a unsaid mutual agreement between you and the owner/manager where you recommend (talk up) the shop when people ask you where to get deals etc. it's not only racers who get this kind of thing but it helps.
