I really cannot belive the gall of Netanyahu, what a pariah. Same day as the attack instead of sending his sympathies, with blood still on his hands from the genocide in Gaza, which still isn't over, he publicly blames Albanese because he recognised Palestine. Yes that must be the reason, never mind about what he's been doing and its likelihood of stirring up antisemitic terror attacks.

Don't get me wrong, I condemn and obhor this attack. In my view these terrorists, like all of them are cowards, too gutless to actually face their "real enemy", so they take the lives of the innocent and defenceless. I know I read down calls of rising antisemtisim as part of the escalating rhetoric between the pro Israeli and pro Palestinian factions of the Gaza war. It was a terrible miscalculation on my part. Many in the Jewish community have been expecting something like this and I think their fears may have fallen on deaf ears as we were all distracted.
 
I think the only appropriate response is to ignore him. He's like a pitch black cynical vessel for the zionist fascist right to pour all their darkest desires into.

bibi needs perpetual armed conflict to stay in power, it seems, and every horrible event like this is weaponized to fit the israeli narrative.

There's a reason that jewish schools - world-wide, I suppose - look more like fortified compounds rather than places of learning.
The israelis just keep making enemies of entire countries by invading and/or bombing the shit out of them, whilst conducting a generations-long genocide to wipe out the Palestinians.

The Bondi shootings were abhorrent. I am deeply saddened, but not really surprised.

I haven't read much about Bondi. It won't do me any good. I hope that the Federal government and NSW government don't give in to pressure to make knee-jerk responses that won't fix anything.

Much like Trump Bibi also needs conflict to stay in power because he's facing a shedload of corruption, bribery and fraud charges and has actively been eroding the judiciary and censorship of media in Israel. The dictatorial playbook of authoritarian leaders since time immemorial isn't particularly creative...

One thing to come out of this is the way the community came together. The hero, Ahmed al Ahmed, obviously not Jewish, disarmed one of the gunmen and got shot for his effort by the other gunman. The Imams pretty much immediately condemned the act and said they would not accept the dead gunman's body for Muslim burial rights. I think that's a pretty big thing...no entry into paradise with 70 virgins.

Having been informed well in advance of Oct 7th, of the very real threat of Hamas invading, by both the Egytian secret service and the CIA, he did nothing about it, using the oldest trick in the book to incite war against ones enemies, with a "surprise attack" being his excuse. So allowing his own to be kidnapped and killed, he proceeds in killing upwards of 70,000 Palestians whilst still rolling out the old line..."the world hates us". The world hates YOU, not your people. And a fair percentage of Israelis hate YOU too.

Again, the very large number of perfectly decent Jewish people around the world are being pulled back into a race war that they didn't want. Netanyahu has done for antisemitism, what Trump has done for decency. Two steps forward....one giant leap backwards. It truly baffles me how people can hate each other based on nothing more than rhetoric. But then we've been doing that for thousands of years.

I could go on....but you all know the score.

I know Netanyahu is desperate because of all the legal and criminal proceedings that are waiting but that's a very serious allegation, what evidence is there that he'd received advanced warnings? I believed he was capitalising to the hilt on the opportunity but to hear he might have had a hand in orchestrating it is fairly shocking.

Just heard Pauline Hanson saying "I'd round them all up!" Lots of people agreeing. Sounds good but who is she going to round up? People like Ahmed al Ahmed? Just there for some political opportunism and sounded more like preaching division rather than unity.

So did the BBC and The Guardian.
It was spoken about in the US Congress also.
Netanyahu was "focused" on the West Bank, where a lot of his supporters were/are situated. He knew about the threat...go look it up
