Just an overall animal/insect product thing. Everything is problematic at some level. You have to be pragmatic though, or you ded.
I wear mostly cotton, but lots of synthetics in shoes and riding clothes, let alone in daily use everywhere.

I read it, no matter what you do there's some type of moral dilemma in this world, not having a crack at you. When people were talking about straw hats it made me wonder a bit as most of them come from overseas, I'd never even given it a thought until now to be honest.

I'm on my second one of these. Vegan leather, and good airflow through the top. I haven't worn an akubra for decades. Far too hot, and when they get rain-soaked, they flop blindingly, and smell like wet dog.
I get close to 10 years out of one of these.
