F1 fans griping about too much overtaking....
i get they think it is "fake racing" by having battery "push to pass".. but surely the alternative is effectively a slot car race unless someone bins it?
As a long time fan I'm glad to see some overtaking for the lead - we've been through too many era's when someone has dominated from the front (Schumacher/Vettel/Hamilton/Verstappen) and its race over.

I was genuinely surprised when Russell had a go at Piastri and he managed to get it back right away and hold position, good signs for the season if McLaren can mix it up with Mercedes & Ferrari.

you can see why EA decided not to put out F1 26 but state it will be DLC for 25 - it was never a true sim title but with these changes it will feel so much like an arcade game with rubber banding

If it weren't for that safety car he may have just gone on place higher. Maybe. Actually I think he would've finished 3rd.
Safety car ultimately masked how much progress Kimi was making but he definitely seems to be able to move through the field easier than George, so possible he was going to take the win off our boy anyway. Once he hit clear air though he was so much faster than George

What was everyones take on the Bearman incident? I'm glad the super clipping issues are getting so much coverage but as if Crashipinto was blameless, he definitely moved a fair way off the main line, and coupled with the speed delta just made it that much worse. Glad Ollie was ok

Speed differential was obvious, even if Colapinto was slower than normal (whatever that means) if it's for position he doesn't have to yield to Bearman, obviously Bearmans reaction put him onto the grass and into the fence. Big hit, hope the dude is OK.

Solid race on the weekend hepas of curveballs and an eventful race.

Personally happy to see Hamilton on the podium he seems to have found form and I he seems to have finally shaken the Verstappen kryptonite with that overtake late in the race.

Well Monaco happened. Apart from 47 speeding infringements it still managed to be boring
I can barely watch this year's cars. Monaco has been a shitty procession since the cars got so fat there is no passing. Pleased to see Kimi doing so well. The rest is a bit of a yawn.

Max's car shat itself off the (first) start. The window licker binned it in the last corner before the main 'straight', which I thought was simply 'on-brand' for the window licker, but then Leclerc binned it there too, and there was a fecking Pothole, at least in F1 terms, right in the braking area that the two were using. Piss poor by Monaco GP organizers, IMO. The track isn't fit for purpose at the best of times.

To me it looked like Window Licker tagged the fence on the way into the corner and broke the car there. Leclerc was having some kind of car problem, he's on the radio straight after saying, "I'm not wearing the blame for that one, fix the fucking brakes!"
