The Rim is the edge of the Discworld. It is about thirty miles thick. It's the end of the world, where water continuously falls off in what is known as the Rimfall. Why the water never runs out is one of the disc's greatest mysteries, another being why it falls, and where.

Where do these flat earthers fall on nuclear fission and fusion? Surely this must fail into the superfragilistic magic category.
Presumably the same way they do with everything that makes their life more convenient but contradicts their world view = ignore it.

I'm sure a few have been a magical aeroplane or two on a cloudless day and potentially seen the curvature of the earth from a window....

Ok, fusion still kind of is, but I’m hopeful it’s mastered in our lifetimes without sucking the Milky Way into a man made black hole.
I suppose it doesn't have a relation to their flat earth model and is not commonly used as evidence that the earth is a globe so they probably have never looked at it.

So I went and checked to see if it was actually possible to see the curvature of the earth from a plane. Answer? Yes. Kinda.

Also (same source):

However, you can detect the curve of the Earth from ground level at the coast with a pair of binoculars – just look for distant ships on the horizon and you’ll see that their hulls start to disappear before their masts and other superstructure. Ancient Greek scientists, who spotted this without any optical aids, used this to conclude that the Earth was round.

I'd recommend not reading any further than that though. The comments section is kinda terrifying.

I worked with a bloke years ago on a construction site, really nice bloke and could not fault his character until he started to talk about the illuminati, every sign or drawing we looked at had the mark of the illuminati, I still have nightmares about seeing him at the pub as he couldn't get away from the subject.

Possibly a good question to put in the Trivia thread; how far away is the horizon? It's about 5km. If you are at sea level and look across the ocean, you can't see what's on the other side of curve after about 5km. As said above; the hull of a ship will be on the other side of the furthest part of the horizon etc etc.
And no holds barred; flat earth and religion are dumb. Dogs are awesome and so is Batman.

Guys, guys....
We have curved eyeballs. This is why the earth looks curved in the distance.

Pfft. Amateurs.

Just another thought to throw in the hat:

Elon Musk is probably the 'most famous' person who deeply believes this.
