I picked up a Geely EX5 during the week and gave it is longest run today, about 320 km.
I started off with 100% charge, showing 397km dynamic range. About 70% of the driving was highway and most of that was adaptive cruise control on 105. The average power use (kWh / 100km) at the end of the trip was 15.9. from what I can tell that's pretty decent efficiency. Had the family of 4 in the car and a few other bits and pieces in the boot.
It's my first EV and I'm still playing with all the settings to see what I prefer, but I have figured out how to stop 90% of the annoying dings and beeps.
It's got 3 modes, Evo, Comfort and Sport. Eco is pretty slow on the take off, a lot more held back than a regular car. Comfort seems to be where it's at for me. A "normal" take off from a stop and there didn't seem to be much efficiency difference from Eco mode and Sport mode is just unnecessary.
All the heated things are mostly overkill, especially the steering wheel! But the massage seats do a decent job. There are a few little quirks with the software at times, but nothing deal breaking so far.
I've been charging with the slow charger at home which has been plenty and just have to tee up an electrician to install the home charger that came with the car.
Overall I'm pretty happy with it, just have to work out getting the bike in, but I'm almost there with that. And have to work out how to keep a black car looking decent for a while between washes... It wasn't my first choice, but it was either that or wait until the end of June.
