I'd like to but I live 170km from work. Ye my choice, but oh so nice where I live. And I work 3 days a week.I'm still convinced the best thing we can do is drive less.

Don't do it. You're going to end up in hospital. The amount of delusion from ICE devotees on socail media car groups is hilarious.
A guy posted his Kia EV6 GT and the ICE heads lit up.
One fella claimed his Hellcat corners and stops better than all EV's.
"Visceral" and "soul" are used to describe one of the most inefficient ways to get propulsion. By people who are yet to drive a dual motor EV.
Hydrogen keeps coming up, as if these people will be using it to keep the visceral soul going in their car by burning hydrogen.
I was in a carpark at the Farmers Markets on the weekend, there were two SUV's sitting nearby for 5-10 mins with their engine idling, one had a couple inside enjoying some snacks they just got from the market, the other was waiting for someone who was grabbing some shopping. In hindsight, if I see this happening again, and it's not a stinking hot or bitterly cold day, I'm going to engage and ask them politely to stop poisoning me unecessarily.
Peeps who have auto stop/start in the car, do you ever switch it off? If so why? I see many cars with it (nearly all cars since 2018) and their engines still idling at the lights so they must have it turned off. Is it less visceral if the engine isn't idling? Did they believe John Cabogan's rubbish about all the "damage" starting an engine does?
Then climbs into the big diesel guzzling Rainbow Warrior with 110,000L of diesel on board and choofs off to hug some whales.Greenpeace campaigner Lindsay Soutar said Australians would not put up with arguments for weaker vehicle pollution standards or delayed action.
“Toyota has stalled on pure electric cars, opting to promote hybrid and fuel-cell technologies that will lock customers into paying for fossil fuels for decades to come,” she said.

Wasn't whataboutem, more teapot-kettle.Whataboutism is an argumentative tactic where a person or group responds to an accusation or difficult question by deflection. Instead of addressing the point made, they counter it with “but what about X
Have you seen a picture ? They had this a while back.Saw alpine ie renault are expected to unveil a hot hatch ev modelled on the renault 5 turbo in a week. When they stopped the renaul sport brand and labelled the f1 team alpine this was always the goal and should be the start of EVs with their own personality beyond just being electric.
dont think it was anything official and new, the only pic they had was the same one from late last year. more an announcement to announce they will be having an annoucement.Have you seen a picture ? They had this a while back.
I'd be surprised if this becomes a thing as it's a very inefficient way of charging.Don't know if this is pie in the sky dreaming but the concept has merit

What's the 1-minute version of why I need to care about this? I'm not sure I'm 1hr12m invested in the topic...Looks like another reason Tesla will continue to lead the way on efficiency:

They thermally manage the whole system incredibly well. Not just cooling of heat sources such as the battery and motors, but warming them up as well. Super integrated system. What's the 1-minute version of why I need to care about this? I'm not sure I'm 1hr12m invested in the topic...
How did this play out, which shares in particular?I would agree with this , I have been a dumb arse and bought many many lithium mine shares … don’t ask , I’m just not very smart .
However the Chinese are moving in - and really want to buy them .
so now I am torn, take the money ( not much really ) or hold out for a spell longer ?
Farkin Hive Mind … Advise !

Its been a trend on a lot of the asx threads and forums at the moment, some are making money from lithium, others are waiting on samples then bailing or taking bags as soon as they find something as opposed to the long run of awaiting a buy out/production.
