The ATO. About two months ago I applied to change tax status of my company. Done through my accountant so left it all alone. Received a letter today from the ATO announcing that they were changing my tax status (to what I asked for) and that it would be effective September 30th and I had until then to contest the change. The letter was dated November 10 and I picked it up at the post office today.

Yep checks out for the ATO. Its a new fraud prevention measure, if everything in the letter makes sense and is reasonable its from a scammer in Nigeria and not the ATO.
