Looks like he's taking up chain slack with it? First time i've seen that done but can't see why it wouldn't work.

yep, just an expensive chain tensioner , i ran one on my hardrock after i wrecked me crappy tensioner... they are ok, just i went through 2 or 3 cheap rear mechs because of them getting totalled while grinding no problems now with the revell however

hey, yeah i'm using it as a chain tensioner. it is an old deraliuer off my stinky and it has worked sweet so far.
