I don’t think I did, TBH.Quoted me out of context. Not saying I want anyone to catch it.

I took a break from FB etc after getting fed up with them after New Year. Best thing I’d done in ages.I’ve really only been using FB for the bike trading pages, and even they are getting taken over with this shite. Time for a break I reckon.
I think you’re right. Culled friend list by more than 1/2 a while ago. I could easily do 1/2 again, and only leave people I give a fuck about IRL. Certainly helped the bullshit factor. Turned off notifications earlier, and can see myself really only checking in on friends soon…if even that.I took a break from FB etc after getting fed up with them after New Year. I know what context you meantAnd that's the crux of it. No you don't want it, but if we want to live with it, you can't keep living in fear either. If I'm triple vaxxed and still croak then so be it. Covid's robbed us of 2 years of our lives already, I'll be buggered if I'm letting it take any more.
You're making all sorts of wild assumptions here. Where did I say anything about going to a packed pub or any of that other being irresponsible and selfish shit?you dont have live in fear but you dont have to be stupid to enjoy life during the pandemic. Were all lucky enough to enjoy an activity that takes place outdoors and away from most people (except for the odd shuttle). But do we need to go to a packed pub for beers "because we've been robed of two years" instead of having some mates over who's vax and health status we know/trust? It's about managing the risk. Is the pub or night club worth risking dying for?
Kind of seems a bit frivolous when there are literally infinite activities that are infinitely less risky - ie going fishing somewhere remote, camping somewhere remote, reading, getting pissed at a BBQ with your best mate and your fam. VS pissing up in a room with 300 people you dont know or care about because "god damn it I'm gonna not let this virus ruin my life"!
You could be robbed of more than another 2 years of your life for the sake of being belligerent in the face of this. The whole "so be it" attitude quickly changes before you are intubated and you don't know if you're going to wake up.
Access it through the internet only. I have never had FB messenger.I think you’re right. Culled friend list by more than 1/2 a while ago. I have many non FB friends that I only communicate with via Messenger, so I’m more likely to monitor that and ignore FB. It’s also useful for group chats. While it’s linked, I can easily separate it from FB.Access it through the internet only. I have never had FB messenger.
the pub was just an example, because its a good one. Its one that we can see playing out among the cohort who "arent letting the virus take anymore of their lives". Its not an presumption of what you're specifically doing. Thought the between the lines context was clear. You're making all sorts of wild assumptions here. It's this simple: I have no desire to catch covid and am still taking more precuations than most people I see out and about. But, there's a good chance I will catch it given the current situation in this country and I'm as prepared as I can be. If I end up intubated or dying there's nothing more I could have done to prevent that; covid was probably always going to kill me. That's a big stretch from "god damn it I'm gonna not let this virus ruin my life".

sounds kinda similar, doesn't it?Covid's robbed us of 2 years of our lives already, I'll be buggered if I'm letting it take any more.
I'm not going out to look for it and will keep up my hygiene routines
I told them to fck off and I have not worn a mask for the past 2 shifts... Corona come at me, I'm ready.
You clearly haven't distinguished between @ozzybmx and @Just had 7 pints during my ride ozzybmxSnip
Now you're just cherry picking to suit your narrative. I've explained what I meant, @ozzybmx got it first time.the pub was just an example, because its a good one. I will still wear my mask in shops or where required, check in and sanitise. I'm not going full rebel. Will 100% still do the right thing. You clearly haven't distinguished between @ozzybmx and @Just had 7 pints during my ride ozzybmx
Not really, just another one that has trouble with comprehension. Happened when morey quoted him a few posts prior too. Seems you're in good company.Cherrypicking and Strawman
Another burner has you worked out Squid.
You realise the virus's main mode of transmission is respiratory, right? What you're describing (contained indoor space, multiple hours with other people) is quite literally the definition of when a mask should be worn.I will not be wearing a mask among the same 7 other blokes for 12hrs while we all touch the same keyboards, mice, taps, cupboards, coffee machine, door handles ect... in a single contained room.
Certainly doesn't sound like it.I'm not going full rebel. Will 100% still do the right thing.
I think it's telling that you've not written the vax off despite having a rare, but dangerous reaction. Hope other options become available for you sooner rather than later.Everyone has their opinion and it is easier to shoot people for their personal choice. I prefer a constructive discourse. These times have made some people from all view points a bit crazy. Anyway...
Thought I would highlight my not so good experience with 1x Pfizer = adverse reaction. Putting me in ED overnight with chest pains and shortness of breath Diagnosed with costochondritis. 2 weeks off work and 6 weeks of no exercise at all.
A number of GP visits, meds and 2x cardiologist visits put me a good $1000 out of pocket. Both CD & GP on the record told I can get AZ. Off the record GP said 2nd dose would mostly likely be dangerous for me, seeing as the worst reactions are after the 2nd.
Again being 30yr old fit young and healthy I know I am from the only one experiences adverse events. Thankfully mine was not all that bad.
For myself abstaining from the 2nd is in my best interest until a better option like Novavax is available.
Not different people, the same 7 blokes for about 65-70 hours this week alone, contained in one room. You realise the virus's main mode of transmission is respiratory, right? What you're describing (contained indoor space, multiple hours with other people) is quite literally the definition of when a mask should be worn.
Certainly doesn't sound like it.
