COVID-19: who’s going full doomsday prep on this?

Interesting article on infected people isolating with with someone without covid, without transmission to that person:

The TLDR seems to be that it is definitely a thing, but we're not exactly sure why. Possibly low viral load in mild cases means less transmission, or possible natural immunity - holding all the aces genetically as it were.

There's also a reference in the article to the Covid Human Genetic Effort (www.covidhge.com), who are interested in the DNA of these apparently naturally immune people to help them unravel the genetics of infection. The goal being to be able to better predict a person's propensity to develop severe disease if infected, and to develop virus-blocking treatments.

Maybe even people are being human and keeping away from others, not being shitty and coughing and sneezing on others. You know decent behaviour? Our plan is to use the camper and keep away from the rest of the household.

I’m curious to see what happens in Vic when schools return - I was only half listening to the news this morning which suggested everyone gets / does/ performs a RAT for the first 4 weeks of the year every 3 days ?
it may be hard to obtain and expensive ?
Then again , I wfh , and don’t really go anywhere - also no school age children and a miserable bastard hahaha

Doesn't look like they're panicking too much with old mate in his hazmat suit.

How many of the poor buggers are dead or injured in their crates, not that their fate was much better anyway.

Probably going to be a hard thing not to catch it with the let it rip attitude, but the small amount of people that have long-covid can end up with heart disease, and current experts (heart specialist) aren't even sure how it happens.

Our town has started seeing a proliferation of the "Freedom of Choice" signs mounted to peoples fences - these are displayed by the people lending support to the "Freedom Rally" groups etc - Want to make some signs up to stick on them that says "All choices have consequences" - I mean everyone is free to choose - your choice may not have the outcome you desire - So its really not "Freedom of Choice" the signs should just read "I want it my way"

Someone needs to hand out “Freedom of Choice” cards with space for a name & signature and a clear DNR marked on the flip side.

a bunch of "...and I accept the consequences..." stickers would be handy to enhance their fence placards. :)
