Claudios' Cairns Run

Amusing, but is it just me or does this Cairns DH course look closer to a flowy, decline-oriented XC/AM track?

Noticed that the local rider took the whoops no worries...sorry Gwinny you will not be able to use the enduro bike here matey.
they need to move the tape back over.....i'm sure the "pros" can handle whoops...

and to ekzatron, that's because Nduro has confused itself with DH....

I think that was Evan Winton, local rider? More like one of the guys that built it. Oh, and the specialised guys ARE on the enduro bikes.

I think its a bit facetious of specialized and comentators to call those bike enduro bikes.. which could again be confused with trail bikes. thats a pretty big bike they are riding.

I don't know how many enduro world series riders would pick an enduro evo with boxers.... which is what... 180mm rear 200mm front and like 64 degree head angle.. sure its spectacularly designed compared to yesteryears freeride rigs but I still wouldnt ride it up 600 climb meter transition stages even untimed if I had a choice of something a little smaller.

there just seems to be less of a distinction between the biggest enduro bikes and the smallest downhill rigs (which are getting lighter and more efficient too). you pick what you think are the best bikes for the course from a range really.

They all use go pros now for everything riding and the just do not show the perception of the real incline of decline well. I have a video of a track some very good XC riders could not ride dud to the steepness of the climb straight after the dip. Watch the go pro footage back and we all look like pussies that can't ride.

It's a pity the view from behind isn't shown on some of those descends and rock gardens. The Peaty walk through showed the actual gradient much better than that run.
It's nuts when you think that someone standing still just starts sliding down the hill. That's steep and slippery. And that's really lost on a helmet cam.

The way minaar and peaty were talking about the track I'm not worried about it being too XC.
