Ride Review 18th April

Climbing - Climbs HEAPS better than my 2016 275 HT. Minimal to no pedal bob. Things that I could not do before I am able to do with ease now. :D

Descending - Amazing! Did not have any sketchy moments thinking I was going OTB etc. Im still getting use to newer geometry so I have to remember no need to lean back as much as I had to on my old Hard Tail (shorts scrapped the back wheel a few times)
Can pretty much point the bike down at any line and it just eats everything up

Still need to tweak the Fork & Shock a little, but I think im almost there

Very interesting. Solid rear triangle, single pivot, driving the shock via a linkage.

Pivot point is very similar to the Evil Wreckoning, should ride quite similar I would suspect.

How much was the frame?

That is a very nice bike to look at. If it rides half as good as it looks, you're going to need some new underpants!

It does have a bit of an evil echo in that rear end.

Oddjob

Merry fucking Xmas to you assholes
Looks nice. Interesting linkage setup for the shock.

Been eyeing these off a bit, if only they had a bottle mount.
Looks great, interested to see how you go with it.

Still riding this beastie @zooks? How's it performing now you've had more time to get familiar with it?

[EDIT] Was trawling Chinertown forums - Hopefully those 4 little carbon patches are holding up well!
Still riding :D Its my one and only bike. TBH can not fault it. Would buy from Carbonda again.

Patches are holding up excellent

Good to hear! :)

To ask a couple of specific questions:

Is there much pedal bob when climbing (thinking shock unlocked, smooth climb trails/fireroad)?

Does it maintain traction while braking over loose/chattery rocks/braking bumps, or tend to firm up the rear suspension and make it hard not to lock the rear wheel and slide around a bit?
