Campagnolo Bora ONE or ULTRA wheelset

Guys, my road wheels are Campagnolo Shamal, great wheels but 8 years old now and getting tired.

I am contemplating Bora carbon clincher 50 wheels.

Can anyone tell me the difference between Bora ONE and Bora ULTRA please? Other than the nearly double in price from ~$2k to ~$4k for a wheelset. Why does the Ultra deserve double the price?

One wheelset weigh 1485gm.
Ultra weigh 1435gm.

Ultra = carbon hub.
One = aluminium hub.

Other than those two is there a difference?

Seeing I don't race, could the extra spend for Ultra possibly be worthwhile?

I only have lowly Ventos on my roadie and they are still pretty fine.

Sure sounds like bugger all difference and either would be a great to have. Like Record vs. Super Record. A great problem to have :)

are you firm on getting campag wheels?
you can get a bullet proof set of 50mm carbon wheels with DT240s for 2.5 to 3 k ish with a lifetime warranty
Wheelworks sl-makers.
im currently running these on my roadie

I reckon so, with Super Record Titanium on there, I'm not splitting it up.

Tempting specs though. Lifetime warranty sounds very enticing.

Hasn't the profile of the one and ultra changed? I thought the ultra was similar in design to the rounded profile of the enve rims.

Really comes down to marginal gains versus moula

I have mates on the Ones and haven't heard a complaint.

Only the hub is different. Rim is the same. CULT bearings, which is basically a load of wank and will make a bees dick of difference. But hey, your buying campag so your used to burning money for no reason.

Or could just buy fulcrum racing quattro's for decent amount less than both and get the same rim with a slightly heavier hub.

If you are considering a $4k wheelset may as well go all out and get some Lightweights....
