12 days ago I thought I bought a Manitou Dorado Expert. Disappeared to Melrose for 6 days and on my return, seen an email saying the order was cancelled for non-payment.

R2 bike charges 0% extra for bank transfer, 1% for CC and 2% for PayPal.

I had a code from my CC company confirming the purchase and requiring a code, but no payment was taken out.

Emailed R2, they said they were having problems with their CC processing and to try again.

Second attempt, same again. WTF.

R2 says pay by PayPal.

I was like, maaaate... YOU are having issues and want me to pay by PP with a 2% surcharge... got any sweetener codes ?

R2 shipping is - up to 600€ - 29,50€ Shipping costs | from 600€ - 39,50€ Shipping costs / Package insurance | from 960,50€ - 74,50€

So the Dorado being €964 is 4 euro into the €74,50 shipping.

12 days later its been processed manually, I collected the 2% paypal levy (which was only 10 euro more than the CC surcharge) and they charged me the cheapest shipping price and saved me 45 euro

While this is from a local store, I think it fits in this thread.
Order something from The Bicycle Store (same as Cycling Deal I think) on Thursday last week, it took them until today (6 days) to dispatch.
Be prepared to wait...

I ordered the same front wheel 31/8 from CRC and it's still processing....hasn't even reached the 'in transit' stage but with a supposed delivery date of 11/9 by aramex. CRC have definitely become a little random with their updates.

The first Dorado was similar, 2 or 3 days to here then Aramex did their usual slomo.

Slow going back too.

Thats just over a month now. Placed order on the 10th, arrived on the 20th, returned on the 22nd, took 6 days to get to SEKO, sat on a pallet for 12 days now heading back for Wiggle to process and return $1300 to me.

Not a very efficient returns model. It should be processed here in Australia.

You can't have your cake and eat it... it's the price you pay for buying cheap shit from overseas.

@ozzybmx - The problem is your cake will have gone off by the time it arrives. And then they'll knock your warranty claim back once it eventually returns because it'll be unrecognizable by then...

Unless you're buying urinal cakes that is. They'll probably be fine. :)

She'll be right, the expert will be here before these clowns get their finger out.

Only that you want your return processed here...
Wiggle-CRC orders were processed here the last time I returned something, probably 6-7yrs ago. They also despatched gear to Aus buyers from an Aus warehouse.

Only geo blocked brands now. Shimano, Rock Shock, Garmin come to mind. Local ship and returns the rest back on the slow boat to the UK.
