Hardline 2026 at Maydena was the last event in the contract. Maydena Bike Park have now announced and incredible new event called "Beyond Gravity"
This is the blurb from their Facebook page:
"Introducing, Beyond Gravity! A brand-new downhill mountain bike event, that is set to redefine the mountain bike event landscape, February 26-27th 2027.
After several years delivering major global events for others, our focus and energy will shift in a new direction, towards an event that blazes a brand-new path for gravity MTB events. Beyond Gravity will deliver:
- The world’s fastest racers: we’ve already signed up some of the world’s fastest racers including multiple World Champions, World Cup winners, and previous Red Bull Hardline winners- our first athlete announcement drops soon!
- A ground-breaking race-course: building on the Red Bull Hardline course to offer multiple new features and sections, which maximise racing elements, while providing unrivalled spectating and broadcast opportunities
- 100% race focus: this is not a freeride event! Our course and athlete roster will focus on creating one of the world’s greatest downhill race events.
- Live broadcast: a world-class pay-per-view global broadcast with 40+ cameras, a new show format, and a commentary team including some of mountain biking’s favourite personalities
- A new event financial model: athletes share a massive 30% of broadcast revenue based on their race position, with a minimum $190k cash prize pool, and real potential to deliver a $100k first place cheque
- A week-long in-venue festival experience that is jam packed with world-class riding, racing, live music, and social events
Get set to go Beyond with us, February 20-27 2027!
Stay tuned as we get set to release more info across the coming weeks
I reckon this is rad. The more people that pay to tune in (for only $15 !!!!!) then the more the riders will share in the prize money. I'm very excited to see how this unfolds. Well played Maydena
