Doesn't a bike need to have reflectors too? It's deadset looking like they just want cyclists to piss off.

pretty sure all new bikes have to be SOLD with reflective devices...not legislated that you have to keep em on the bike tho'
which is just another example of how fucking backwards all the legislation related to cycling seems to be/heading towards...

Reflectors and lights for night riding but not the spokey dokey ones so the lights are generally ok. Bell all the time. Been checked before for a bell. Plenty of fines were handed out.

Why does an established company need crowd funding? Doesn't this go against the concept of crowd funding? Or have I misunderstood the principles of crowdfuning?

I was told otherwise by a friendly police officer...forward and rear facing required. Penalties for not having them.

NFI. just being lazy/smart chunts and not risking their own money? also, crowd funding the bell = product is pre-ordered, and it doesn't go ahead if it's not feasible money wise.

May depend on where you are but this suggests otherwise in Qld: https://www.qld.gov.au/transport/safety/rules/nonpowered/bicycle/

Lights and rear reflector at night although it also says in lousy weather too, so maybe you could technically still get pinged for having no reflector or lights if it were pissing with rain and visibility was poor.

So what happens to the poor bastard that rides on the road to his favourite mtb trails, goes OTB and busts off his bell then risks being fined on the ride home. Do we have to carry spare bells now?

With politicians getting lazier, dumber and more arrogant about their self importance day by day it's no surprise that they have mismanaged our state to near bankruptcy.

They see the only way to get back in the black is to tax the fuck out of us, but that would be unpopular and _might_ just get them voted out.....

Sooooo they increase fines across the board, get sneaky with their cameras and come up with more "creative" ways to extract what one local politician called "voluntary tax" (Prick!) from our hard earned fun tickets.

Be under no illusions, the qld coppers are nothing more than armed collection agents for their boss, and unless you want to sit locked up inside and do nothing with your life they will harass you, ambush you and fleece you whenever you dare step outside to enjoy life. FUCKERS!

Oh, and vote NO for the 4 year terms between elections, the little known fact that polls get paid for life after serving 4 years used to mean they had to be reelected, they couldn't give a shit about anyone but themselves and this is surely the reason the opposition ( who oppose everything the govt. usually say) have said absolutely nothing negative about it! FUCKERS!

The spurcycle bell is actually not a shit piece of equipment...it actually makes a fucking loud ding.

That said...I'm all for an app that shoots a maximum volume Yosemite Sam shout of 'Strava Run, Chunts!' from a Bluetooth enabled speaker mounted on the rider or bicycle.

A mate does commute from time to time with a BT speaker that just does a 40 Hz doof beat every half second...so many giggles.
