not sure if this is a bargain, but $900 for an Orange complete HT bike seems alright.(??)

Chuck that sucker in the clothes dryer to shrink it a couple sizes and @Labcanary would be all over it.
there is also a Kumo (Aussie Custom frame builder) 52cm frameset. would have been interested if it was a 56 or 57cm. 52 way too small for me.
Would make a nice (rim brake) road bike for someone.

That's lovely but you'd want to budget the same $$ again to redo the paint to do it justice.

That could be done later. Hand built steel frames by Australian makers are exxy enough to start with.
a bit of killrust and a bit of rattlecan paint roughly the same will keep it from corroding on those bits, IMO.
If ones' OCD does not allow, then yes, budget away

Those are some stonking deals there. I'm guessing a new one must be imminent?

Thinking about it I'm not sure I've even seen one of those out in the wild, or any new Giant mtb actually. For close to 50% off I reckon I could justify one.

Take it to a good specialist auto paint store, they will be able to mix up a little bottle of touch up, even if it's metallic. Apply it with a little micro tip type applicator to build it up in layers, this keeps the metallic particles standing, rather than flattening them if you brush it on and you will be able to make it look half decent.

I'd spend a bit less to avoid the LiveValve:
