I've always liked them, but the last set of Wild Enduros dry rotted super fast. Allegedly they fixed that... But for 30 buck each, I'll give the Force ones a whirl on the Trance - the Goodyear Newtons on there now look like they'll last another 5 years easily, but they're pretty dire whenever there is even a sniff of moisture around.

The Orange is still happy on its Contis though.

Im not averse to trying something else, but they have to be better. Any suggestions? Must be:

Front and rear specific
Resilient to enduro/AM riding
Not too heavy
Readily available
Decent durability:grip ratio
Not dry rot or lose its corner knobs when the rest of the tread and casing is still good
Not too expensive

Know of other people that have tried other brands and eventually end up back on Maxxis for various reasons.

They're not not premium, although depends what you mean by premium...

Honestly though, there is not really much in it. The first run of Michie wild enduro was an oddity with their rubber going off, and the Goodyears just erred too much of durability over wet grip - but really they're fine mostly.

Easy to get hung up on details, but really just need to get on it and ride the bloody thing!

Id definitely try the Michelin's for 30 or 40 bucks.

I haven't used the wild enduros but I've spent a lot of time on the previous wild am and rockr2. Rockr2 still the best cornering tyre I've ever ridden. The OG wild am was awesome on the front of a down country bike, probably not quite "all mountain" though.

No quality issues, wobbles etc.

I'd rather not spend money on new/different tyres to then find they don't meet expectations. It then becomes a conundrum to be stuck with something I'm not happy with until they wear out in 6-12 months, or write them off and go back to what I had.

So unless we have a bunch of you peeps vouching for an alternative, I'll stick with the tried and true!

This not the RB way - you're supposed to randomly try new shit and end up with a massive pile of bits for a garage sale post.

WTB: Some rotted out tyres, and any others which have torn side knobs but with good centre knobs.
