Australia Post, I hate you!

I seriously don't understand how there isn't an automatic prompt to manually inspect the parcel and redirect/relabel or whatever is necessary to rectify the issue when an item hits the same scan point for a second time.

They're already collecting the data, but doing nothing with it - it's insane.

I very recently had a lens come from Japan. DHL. Shipping updates were all good until for a week it showed out for delivery. Then it was 'sorry your parcel has been delayed' or we have lost it. I went back to DHL Oz who said contact seller. Seller said that they could only see the same as me and DHL handed it to a local carrier. Local being Aramax or Auspost. Tried both but DHL tracking number meant nothing. Back to DHL and showing no change. Rang the local DHL who said it is at my local post office. What? Go to the post office and there it was. The local lady is awesome and tracked using the Auspost number I never had. Spent two weeks in a sorting facility in Brisbane. 25 km Max from me. Sigh. And I have tractor parts coming from Trumpistan with DHL the only option...

yeah, that's probably Aramex....
Excuse I got was that they are not paid to deliver the "final mile" so they just dump at a nearby (but maybe not your) post office and no notifications or anything...

Yep. If the parcel doesn't come with my phone number on it somewhere then it will fossilise in the local parcel depot. Because no-one actually delivers to my home address...
 
anyone had luck, or not, with Speedx for Ali delivery? reviews look... not positive 😂

Hmm, out for delivery at 8pm on a Monday? doubt.... (some reviews talk about "missed deliveries" at 4:30AM)

well... surprised it turned up at all without having to go to warehouse and sort through packages in person...

also surprised was not stolen in the 3hrs was sitting on fence... usually they just hoik it as far as possible over fence with no farks...
must have been either a very low or very high meth day? not school hols? 🤣

Those cheap Michelins I got from Melbourne came via a side quest to Adelaide and back to Melbourne, a little week long jaunt before getting on the ferry. Didnt need them in any sort of hurry, but amusing nonetheless to watch their adventures around the country!
