  • Reason for buying: Just picked up a small 27.5 bike for my son and it has a steel, coil sprung boat anchor up front.

Tapered steerer?
I'm not sure if I have any 80-100mm travel in 27.5 flavour. I'll check when I get home on Monday afternoon.
 
Sorry guys, didn’t have notifications turned on.

Straight would be great as it would require no change in HS but I could get a larger diameter lower cup if there’s a tapered steerer going.

I have a tapered Manitou R7 27.5. New condition with uncut steerer. Downside is that i would be after above your price range, upside is that I am Melbourne Eastern suburbs so you could possibly pick up? PM if you want more details.

I've got a straight steerer, 26", QR, IS brake mount Rockshock SID black box. The price is right at free, but it's a toight squeeze to fit a 27.5x2.25" wheel and tyre.
I'm in Ballarat but I will be in Melbourne SE suburbs on the 9-10th May.

It was given to me and I haven't found a use for it, happy for it to go somewhere to get used. It has free dirt and there is also a dial missing (lockout maybe?) so it's not really in collectable condition 😅
 
If Caad9 doesn't take the SID i have a kids bike i could use it on. I am happy to pay something for it or swap it for another part.

Really appreciate the offer but I’m happy for it to go elsewhere.

The tyre clearance will be too tight, unfortunately
 
I have a brand new RockShox Recon Silver RL (taken off a Canyon Spectral kids bike). but it's longer travel, tapered and non QR
