Trails near Sprinfield / Springfiled Lakes?

Hello all I am about to move house, looking seriously at houses around the Springfield / Springfield Lakes suburbs of Brisbane. Does anyone know of any good trails and singletrack within reasonable riding distance to these suburbs?

    Here's an idea

Some of the talk at the club meeting (Tuesday 6th September) involved discussion about the "easy-up" shade shelters. It was agreed that these would be purchased by the club once a reasonable quote was obtained. I totally agree that these should be purchased (as I was badly sunburnt at the last...

Mooloolaba - any riding to be had?

    Toowoomba northshore builders

Hey Toowoombians I've got some planks suitable for north shore building, so if you want it, just pm me. It's taking up too much valuable bike storage space. I was originally going to do some n/s building myself (near "Chompy") but i just don't have the time and can't be bothered anymore...

    Radially spoked wheels......whats the go?

I have noticed that some bikes have a radially spoked front wheel. Why is this? Surely a standard cross pattern would be stiffer and stronger. I know that on road bikes radially spoked wheels are for aerodynamics, but why bother for an mtb?

    Attn: Toowoomba riders/track builders

I am planning to do a bit of work on the new dh track near Lefty tomorrow morning (Friday the 13th  ), so if anyone wants to help out feel free. Don't worry about tools/digging utensils - they should all still be there. Oh and tools need not apply. I'll be there from 9am onwards...

    disc rotors

i've got an xc hardtail with magura louise hydro discs, and i'm after a second set of disc rotors for my other wheelset. i've been quoted $89 per six inch rotor from phantom, but the hayes are only $65 or so. i'm led to believe that magura make slightly thinner rotors than hayes, and as such...

    A jolly good day

I went to an xc race today at Kindilan OEC (near Redland Bay). Yeah yeah so it was an xc race, but it was farkin good. The track was average, not particularly techy, but it flowed, which as we all know is damn important. The track was made interesting by some mud (I’m going to have fun...

    good 4 inch dually?

just out of curiousity, what do you peeps think is a good 4 + 4 inch dually for less than $2500 2nd hand? i would use it primarily for xc/trailriding and some dh. the hardtail is starting to feel a smidgen too "bumpy" for my liking and i am planning to upgrade sometime early next year.

Ever had the urge to ride through a shopping centre?

Whenever I go to work I think, damn, how sweet would it be to hit up these stairs? Drop after drop after drop at the Range shopping centre. Methinks my XC bike would kind've die afterwards though :( Grand Central would be pretty suave too. What do the rest of yas think :?:
