Just received a HiBike order this morning.
3 weeks to get on a plane in Frankfurt
3 days later delivered delivered to my door in Sydney.
Happy to finally receive my goods, but both parts of that don't seem right.....
This is getting real confusing.
I ordered from HiBike and they now say they can't deliver (via DHL) to Australia, despite others being dispatched. Annoying that their geoblocking technology won't allow us to order Shimano or SRAM, but we can submit an order for other products which they then...
Whereas earlier information showed an alignment which almost bissected Wyle and the shooting range (which wold have impacted the kids loop but not much else), the revised alignment almost follows Elizabeth Dr, and so would result in the chopping up of almost all the track. : (
While the track...
Not quite what you're asking, but......
I use a Garmin 235 and have broadcast the heart rate from that to the Garmin computer. You can't use any of the other watch functions (mainly GPS) while it is in broadcast mode, but you would have those figures on your computer. 235s can be bought for $200...
It looks like my licence has slipped out of my bag while extracting my phone at the Loftus trails this morning. The three likely locations are:
the junction on the northern side of the tram tracks where the return firetrail coming up hill meets the start of Ziggy Zaggy.
the first junction on...
Appreciate the offer but (1) my need is not that immediate, and (2) I'm in Sydney.
A work colleague gave me another bolt specialist down in Taren Point, so the speciality fastener/industrial areas as mentioned above are a good recommendation.
Does anyone have a favourite source for brake caliper bolts? M6x30mm (or longer as required).
One or two of the usual on-line stores don't have them, and Bunnings seems a bit unreliable. Does anyone have another source I haven't thought of which is reliable and cheap (my trusted LBS is not...
Someone who rides regularly won't find TVT difficult, but I've seen (& heard) that it spooks a few people who are expecting something more like a flat concrete path along a broad river bank. The middle section (between Ngarigo & Diggings campsites) is the more difficult, but mostly because it...
Nope, not for a moment. Australia is too small a market to have any impact on the US. And I completely agree that he only cares about things which affect his personal wealth.
This is nothing more than having some fun (and maybe dreaming that we might be important).
With US tariffs on steel and aluminium likely to apply to Australian exports, Australia will at least get the opportunity to impose some tariffs on US exports as retaliation.
The EU's Chief Juncker has suggested Europe impose tariffs on Harley Davidsons, Levis and bourbon, (and summed it up...
I think the second Guardian article that redbruce has linked is a good summary of the vacuous sideshow that Australian politics currently is.
We had a discussion at work more than 5-8 years ago, about whether the problem in Australian politics was due to the politicians, the media, or the...
Agree with that - OD the same, but ID is different necessitating different barbs (silver or brass).
Good to know about the ability to mix-and-match. I think I read it was better to match the hose with the caliper (new or old lever doesn't matter).
I'm looking to complete a set of brakes. I have the XTR M975 lever, and hoping someone has a leftover caliper to match.
I'm not fussed if it's SLX (M665), XT (M765) or XTR (M975), but I understand these older brakes (pre2012) use the older (larger ID?) brake hose. That's why I'm seeking a...
I got swooped last weekend as I rode through the local skate park.
What puzzles me is why it's ignored all the helmets on skateboards and scooters before singling out me.
Any ideas? Do they single out the larger threat? Or maybe the colour of the helmet?
It should be. Why would you keep looking once you've found it?
It's one of those sayings that is ridiculous when you reflect on it. Like the mother-in-law who rings and says "I thought you'd be out in the sunshine" or "I thought you'd be eating dinner now." Well, if you thought that...
Another cat-strike story, away from the trails.
Commuting home a few years ago now, a slight down hill so I've wound the speed up, and a tabby dashes out from the left hand side of road and I strike it pretty much dead centre I guess. I can recall seeing an orange "blur" just before the...
Got Ivan Lendl's signature on a Pizza Hut placemat at Carrara, Gold Coast. He was being coached by Tony Roche at the time, who did (probably still does) live there.
Got our house painted by Shannon Voss, one of The Block winners from Melbourne.
Bought a dishwasher from The Good Guys at the...
