Plastic bags, climate change, renewable energy,

Yeah, and I’m pretty sure Craig Reucassel showed it was all a sham years ago on War On Waste.

    Moving to Tassie

Thanks for the detailed reply @Stredda. I have friends in Penguin and have been there a few times, but it was a while ago now. Always liked the area and the trails there. Good tip about travelling along the coastal highway and commuting along that strip of coast. It definitely sounds like the...

    Moving to Tassie

Haha, you're speaking my language. I'm a surveyor and my wife is a chiropractor, but we'd be keen to start a small business like market gardening or worm farming. Any excuse for a tractor or bobcat I reckon. Wife is from England too, so she'll feel at home in the cold and dark winters haha.

    Moving to Tassie

My wife and I are thinking about moving our family to Tassie. I'm particularly keen to hear from people what it's like on the North Central Coast, Penguin/Burnie/Ulverstone/Wynyard/Flowerdale area, as well as inland a bit around there? We probably need to be near a somewhat larger population...

    Campagnolo mechanic

@scblack In the future if you need any work done, this guy specialises in Italian stuff: https://www.spirito.com.au and if John still works at Renegade Cycles, he's a great mechanic and Josh, the owner, rides Campy.

    Balance Bikes...

We just bought our almost 2yo a Cruzee for his birthday coming up. He has something called a Flip Bike (scooter wheels and folds in half with some press buttons) but hasn't shown much interest in it yet. He just wants to turn it over and 'work' on the wheels with an allen key.

NSW FOUND: 'Kids Ride Shotgun' Handlebars

Thanks @Labcanary. They look great. If you have some material and press-studs left over I won't say no, but let me give you something for them! Just let me know in PM how much and I'll transfer to you. I've found a set of Klunker Bars now (back in stock at Commuter Cycles) so I'm just going wrap...

Burners' Backyards: Veggies, Gardening, Landscape & Design

@cammas, good work getting the digger in. I've been 'preparing' an area for new paving in my backyard for a year now. I have a problem with DIY; often think it's a failure on my part to call someone else in to do a job. Just sent off an enquiry to a landscaping company to come in and level it...

NSW FOUND: 'Kids Ride Shotgun' Handlebars

Hey @Labcanary , thanks for the reply. Sorry for the late reply, got a 5 day old in the house! I think your grip method will be the way I go if I can’t find the Velo orange bars in stock. I put those Klunker bars on my wife’s bike and they are the comfiest bars ever! They also have a smaller...

    The Woodwork thread

Thanks guys, will paint the ends @ausdb. I've found a bloke with a mill willing to run them through down to size. On second thoughts a dining table is too ambitious for me at the moment, but I'm hoping to get a couple of slabs worth turning into a coffee table once they dry. Worth the experiment...

    The Woodwork thread

My neighbour was cutting down a huge Iron Bark and possibly a Blakely's Gum yesterday. I managed to get my hands on most of the Iron Bark and some of the smooth gum. The smooth gum was dead for a while, but still lots of weight in the wood, some beautiful rounds that might turn nicely into lamp...

Burners' Backyards: Veggies, Gardening, Landscape & Design

Nice! Love it. What size area is taken up by a track like that? Can't quite read the scale on your plan.
