    Specialized Chisel FS

I think height, weight and riding style come into it a bit. There is no doubt a 29er rolls over stuff better but I think a smaller rider will have a better time on a 27.5. At 176cm I ride 29er hardtail for xc speed, but both trail and enduro bike are 27.5. I think tyres make more of a difference...

    Other sporting pursuits

Is avoiding housework a sport? No other competitive sports as such for me, however I do run if away on business and a bit of kayaking in summer.

What did you do TO / WITH / FOR your bike today!

Also shows what happens if you don't yank hard enough haha.

What did you do TO / WITH / FOR your bike today!

Yeah, decent step up onto the rock. Got to give it a good pull or you slam the rock haha.

What did you do TO / WITH / FOR your bike today!

Due to the weather, went chasing mudless trails. Youyangs did not disapoint, first time out there for way too long. Climbing Travs

What is your greatest trail ever ridden?

Warpij and Pinhead, the former Warburton trails for me. Great mix of fast and big gaps with steeper technical sections. Huge rock drops and optional shutes and even a sketchy mandatory skinny. RIP

    Electric Vehicles etc

It will get to the stage they have to give these away to meet their fleet emissions requirements. So you will probably get one thrown in with your new V12.

    Warburton trail updates

How'd you go for battery on a ride like that? Warby seems to be the only place where I constantly hear a steady stream of ebikers complaining they've run out of battery.

    Warburton trail updates

I was there too, you probably past me in the bus lol, sold out shuttles so I rode instead. Weather and trails were magnificent. Pretty cooked now, cramped up on my last climb and almost couldn't get back to my car haha. Finally rode Warburtron, so now have the full set.

    Any Zwifters out there?

Knocked over the last achievement this week, finally got 25 climb portals done. Also just ticked over into level 61.

    Warburton trail updates

Note that the hey Hey climb is closed this weekend, or at least Saturday due to burn off. Officially you would take rubber stamp up to the start of Zinglefun then take the track across to Mt bride Rd, across and up cemetery fireside to the start of Earn your ferns. Then up to the top trails and...

    Warburton trail updates

Yeah agree, could easily be an anomaly in there. All trails up there are showing consistent runs of around 42 - 45km/h max In my data. With all runs of Mad Max showing a max over 50km/h

    Warburton trail updates

Hope my old age isn't getting to me either, but I thought it was you I ran into a number of times when stage one opened. And I think we crossed paths on Hey Hey before that when I did 8 laps of it as a challenge 😄

    Warburton trail updates

Awesome so two loops of Fubba will be a perfect 1000m. Yeah was me :) Saw @kiwiinmelb too. I drove to the bridge Sat morning, but already at capacity with about 5 cars parked there. So went somewhere else. On the speed vs tech thing, I just don't think most people care for the ratings anyway...

    Warburton trail updates

The only thing that even half resembles tech, is the rock slab on Yanki Jim haha. The bottom of Warbij has a tiny bit, sounds like you missed it to go into Scrubaroo? Rode Scrubaroo, Acka Dacka and Shred Galah for the first time this morning. More of the same but nice to be able to vary the...

    Warburton trail updates

There is some room there, but I have not checked for no parking signs. I was too late for the sold out shuttles this weekend, so was actually planing to also look at that spot tomorrow morning for some ride ups of the top trails, then finish with a fubba gubba run back to the car. I rode...

    5 days in Melbourne

Yeah, you would take beach road out of Melbourne which turns into nepean hwy. Very popular cycling route, but in saying that I'd avoid a weekday peak hour ride. Should be ok a little later morning and on the Friday should be going against the city bound traffic. Heading back on the Sunday should...

    Any Zwifters out there?

I tried the same when I broke my hand. Figured I could just ride the trainer, nope, one handed riding was very uncomfortable after a little while.
