Seriously that damage is from a few runs at Meehan? No pad should be doing that.
I've seen some gnarly damage to rotors on cars that run track day pads and try and use that setup on a daily. The pads never get up to temp and just gouge the crap out of the rotors. I've never seen this on a...
I had no idea it was blue, since it's a climbing trial I'd never thought about that.
I must say, wow the trails were so so blown out already. Is it worse this year or normal?
Finally got the El Roy out onto the dusty af pea gravel of Kalamunda. There was a social ride so I tacked onto that for a bit before going my own way. A couple of observations:
1. Assguys feel weird. The bike has MaxxGrip Exo+ up front and MaxxGrip DD out back. When riding slow they felt...
I bought a Super Tacky DHF as the front for one of my bikes. The other bike has a MaxxGrip Assguy... Pea gravel is shit shit shit, if anyone else tells you otherwise, they are on crack!
Nah, no one wants to service them over here. When I landed then abruptly crashed (tyre blew out/burped all air), the fork ejected some oil out the seals. I was just going to have them serviced but none of the usuals are interested. I'd have a go myself, but I've moved back to WA and don't...
Yeah it was dreadful on Monday. Having moved back over here again from Hobart, pea gravel is just the worst. I'd rather ride in mud...

New front tyre for Kalamunda's Kunting pea gravel. 100ml of sealant and has stayed up and lost zero pressure even though it's technically not a tubeless tyre (26x2.5 DHF Super Tacky Evo).
In other news, my Marzocchi 55 Evo Ti V2 forks are probably seen their last ride.
So it's been a slightly shitty time for my poor Surge Evo.
I've been practicing pedal kicking a fair bit lately and did it going off a gutter and I'd say some chainring bolts came loose... The end result (yes I even managed to bend the spider on my gorgeous Saint cranks :( ) was a scratched...
At that age it'll need a service and you can buy a new, longer travel dropper for similar cost. I've one of that vintage and it's had one service but won't be services again.
Sorry but they aren't worth much of anything if they need a service.
