    Confessions from the fuckwits

can i nominate my wife for yesterdays effort? she went out for an afternoon ride, turned on tracking as usual. In the one ride her garmin ran flat, the lights ran flat and Di2 ran flat. i guess the last one is its own reminder to not forget again. as will be the monthly reminders placed on the...

Saw alpine ie renault are expected to unveil a hot hatch ev modelled on the renault 5 turbo in a week. When they stopped the renaul sport brand and labelled the f1 team alpine this was always the goal and should be the start of EVs with their own personality beyond just being electric.

    Funny stuff my kid says

exploring the etymology of household terms can be fun. To avoid scaring the kid when he was small spiders in the house were referred to as arachnids. he caught on but couldnt say the word so we have arkanibnobs. thus a nibnob is a spider.

i think the problem is mostly directives by store - ie chemist warehouse. 1 puffer at a time, 1 pack of gastrostop. Last time i went to another chain they asked for my licence which seems to be a new thing, and i have no issue with. Checking would show i buy a few now and none for months. saying...

restrictions on common medications. Ventolin and gastro stop, not exactly things people abuse but i can only buy one of each at a time. I keep a few stashes around(home, car, gym bag) so its annoying to have to make multiple visits to the chemist. Is there some tiktok trend of deliberately...

What did you do TO / WITH / FOR your bike today!

not my bike but wife's road bike. bike came tubeless and we topped up the sealant yesterday, and it was leaking around the bead when re-inflated. i guess taking the value core out could make the bead come unseated. so we need to try rapid inflation with c02 to get it to seat again? yes I am an...

    Electric Vehicles etc

depends a lot on how people are using them. The nrma chargers are 50kw compared to 125 up to 350 for superchargers. That means a larger charge could be well over an hour per car. i only needed to top up from 75% but being that slower last bit it was still longer than i'd want to wait...

    Electric Vehicles etc

took another road trip over the holidays out to canowindra for the balloons. Done many miles before but this was the first trip heading more rural and away from the well sorted supercharger routes. Top up in bathurst no problem, but from there we had to rely on a single NRMA charger which had 2...

been looking over upgrading my trusty G27 for a while and the day i ordered load cell pedals, moza wheels and bases went on sale so put in a 2nd order for them whilst waiting for the first. 1pm and its sunny, hasnt rained in a couple of days. I get that the grounds might still be drying out but surely council knows now if they need to stay closed instead of making us wait for 3pm, making plans both ways for footy training to be on or off.
