I’m looking at getting a couple of sets of flats to put on bikes to get a couple of mates into riding. I haven’t ridden flats in at least 4 years. Last were saints that are on a mates bike. Anyone have experience with these?

Did a run around local bike shops yesterday hoping to buy a tyre before Easter, saw these

These look the goods. Large platform and some serious pins going on. True chin destroyers. I’m leaning to composite though. To many good flats to choose from these days

I'm totally biased because they're my favourite pedal by a mile - but Daggas are insanely good. I worry far less about pedal strikes with them than other flats pedals simply because they grip so well. It's almost like being slightly clipped in - except you can easily lift your foot off if you want to. I picked up a bunch of confidence when I swapped to them, and the width of platform and the pins with the smaller thread on the tip make a world of difference for the feel platform and grip. It's relatively easy (even for a total spud such as myself) to pick-up the rear of the bike because the pins actually fractionally hold into the sole of your shoe when you lift (with decent-ish technique). They are a very spendy item though!

They certainly are spedy. I don’t mind spendy if they are good though. May go back tomorrow for a set if they are open and have a black or silver set in stock. Would probably help my riding after riding clips for so long.

They look good, but you'll get a similar pedal for less from chain reaction. Nuke proof are popular across the forum.

Put the V11s on the Waltly this morning and got a lovely suprise. DMR have put their moto pins on the front and back and their regular pins on the sides, thanks for listening to us DMR. Everyone else probably knew this already but I was stoked.

Got a set in black waiting for the banshee build. Plenty of grip from the looks of them.
