FYI, World Cup DH track is closed for repair, and is only open for designated ride/race days anyway. Plenty of other DH tracks in Cairns to ride though! Last I heard, all the XC tracks are open, so enjoy the awesomeness that is Cairns (and Atherton if you get the chance)!

I'm pretty sure the 2013 CTD remote could be run under the bar - ala front shifter... have a read of http://www.pinkbike.com/news/Fox-Racing-Shox-Float-CTD-Boost-Valve-Remote-Shock-tested-2013.html No need to DIY if it is already designed to function as you wish.

I'm almost certain that the 2012 Anthem X uses a lower quality of carbon compared to the 2011 Anthem X SL... and it has the the overdrive 2 HT, greatly restricting your choice in stems/forks etc... But if you are on a tight budget, it will still be great bike!
