My ‘18 GG 27.5 Megatrail is just as quick and quicker in spots than my fancy pants carbon wonderbike. That fact make me happy. No shame!Rode my 2015 GT Sanction recently, probably 12 kms.
Is it okay that it still works well?
Really good bike, I suppose I should be ashamed - 27.5" wheels and old.
Sorry
If it works, ride it! My little 2012-vintage 26"-wheeled bike has proven itself superior to 29ers in many situations!Rode my 2015 GT Sanction recently, probably 12 kms.

I’m with old Scottish mate. It ain’t bloody lathe-ing and you know it.This arvo did some "lathe-ing" (an old Scottish work colleague hated me saying that)

Go give yourself a stern mirror talk and get it together.
Yeah nah, didn't blue the spring it's actually a grey coating.I'm really hoping they were just very yellow benchtops that have thrown of the camera white-balance and you haven't actually blued the spring.
Nice lathe-ing as always though.

I'm impressed, I've never heard of someone screwcutting (screw-lathing) a spring out of barstock!New saddle, floor pump gauge (see confessions) and some random bits to get free postage turned up today from bikebug (ordered Sunday night).

Don't you just follow a pattern?I'm impressed, I've never heard of someone screwcutting (screw-lathing) a spring out of barstock!
I wish it was that easy! Spring is bought, those I did grind the closed ends on the lathe as they came un-ground.I'm impressed, I've never heard of someone screwcutting (screw-lathing) a spring out of barstock!
Haha, I can't imagine anything more impossible than trying to turn a coil spring from barstock. Grinding the ends flat would be about all I would bother with.I wish it was that easy! Spring is bought, those I did grind the closed ends on the lathe as they came un-ground.
I saw the image and thought you must have decided to build your own coil fork for the Grom Donut!New saddle, floor pump gauge (see confessions) and some random bits to get free postage turned up today from bikebug (ordered Sunday night).

Pardon my ignorance, but is that a Mojo?Just continuing the 650b love in, got this up and running last weekend and a bit of a shake down ride.

With 25% sag the rear suspension feels great already, forks need some tuning though. More agile and zippy than I remembered (although the Cushcore has been binned off). Little wheels definitely still have a place.
Mojo HD4. They only did that colour way for a short time then they offered the all black option.Pardon my ignorance, but is that a Mojo?
Wasn't there a two-tone/gloss-matte bright red option as well?Mojo HD4. They only did that colour way for a short time then they offered the all black option.
