Well……. no - it’s a Continental with a interceptor tank… .( should be a white bike )
so seat is standard with a cowl - these are like pick n mix bikes , can put parts from either on .
Then went on a ‘ back in black ‘ scheme , I have a speed screen also .

I’m still thinking of a Black tank from a continental GT as a swap in .

The indicator that was damaged in the ZX6R fell off - I new it would and had asked the dealer when I was getting all the service work done to get me some cool ones - well they finally came in and they look ok but not amazing and are not LED and the bike came standard with LED to the rear - decided to fit them anyway as I had them - this is the rats nest of wires exactly as they were tucked under the seat and fairing - I just ran all new wires and removed the resistor and new ones work fine.

Working from home has saved alot of money in the petrol side of things, did the midnight shift the other night (feat nice lens blur pic, pretty chilly) and petrol was $2.07 a litre, first time I have paid over $20 for a tank of fuel.
With everyone complaining about fuel prices, glad I sold my ute when covid market was paying more than new.

I am obsessed with motorbikes at the moment and can't stop looking at options etc - I really like my ZX6R and have always wanted a Z1000 - I started looking at new bikes again and the current ZX6R has 100KW at 196KG weight - 2007 has 96KW at 184KG so power wise negligible difference - Looked at the Z1000 105KW at 221KG - So in actual fact aside from electronic aids to support the rider there has been no real difference in 15 yrs.
Then to meet Euro standards you end with with bullshit like on my SX where the first 3 gears have restricted KW supply and you don't get full KW until 4th gear but when the revs rise in 4th / 5th / 6th they restrict the throttle position.

It explains why the 05/06/07/08 bikes all seem to hold value a bit better.

Yeah this rings true with motocross bikes too... I feel like both have sort of hit the peak of technology and the limitations of tyres etc...
Geo hasn't changed too much In the last 10-13 years. The next step will be making electric motos which perform equal or better to the standard ones, which is only really being held back by battery size and weight.
Now it's just piss farting around with electronics making the bikes ride themselves.

I have ridden two of the Super Soco bikes.
For a learner they might be okay but with the 100km speed limit, I was thinking how dangerous they were, they are also skinnier than a standard motorbike and look a bit smaller than a postie.

Im not tall but it was like riding a Monkey bike, or Grom, felt a lot lighter than my current MT03 and easy to push out of the showroom before riding without needing to kick it into neutral, or have the keys on hand was a bonus.

I am going to have a look this weekend at what this place stocks in terms of electric bikes, as we have been looking at import Tesla's (NZ has this covered with JDM Teslas only needing a few minor tweaks):

I love the electric thesis but will wait until the cars are in their element before looking at the bikes again.

Soooo ZX6R was killing my neck (since the fusion I thought it would come good) - So decided to sell it - Sold the CFMoto 650 as well just for good measure - Started looking for a 2nd hand MT09 etc - Found a nice looking 2017 Suzuki GSX-S750 to have a look at - On the Friday I paid a $100 deposit for them to get bike from Brissy to Sunny Coast for a test ride look - Over the weekend I did the only logical thing and decided to finance instead of cash as since I was looking at spending $11k ish on something you could get a new MT09 from $15k and since the MT09SP was only $17k decided may as well get the better suspension etc - So on the Monday rang the shop and bought an MT10 :)

Keen to hear your thoughts on the MT09 vs MT10, I've been eyeing them off once I get off the P plate licence, since the L plate bikes(current bike) seem to hold their value so well.

Wellllll - So the stock MT09 does not have adjustable suspension (well not fully adjustable at all) So you go the MT-09 SP which gives you the better suspension package but you also pay around $2k extra for that - And to be honest that is the bike I was going to buy - The MT10 was just what was available and since its not my money I am spending I went with that - For the extra money the the MT10 does get fully adjustable suspension and the new MT10 gets up and down QS (mine is only up QS) - After that the electronics package etc is very similar.
So for 4K less you get the MT09SP which as a triple when you decat and fit exhaust it sounds amazing (you have to get a tune to decat or bike runs super lean)
The MT10 is crazy 4500 rpm first gear and doing 60km/hr but can roll on from 4th gear 2500 rpm 60kms an hour as well - The MT09 / 07 seem to be holding value currently as a sought after bike but the bike market is so fickle that could change easy enough.

TLDR - I would have the MT09SP now if they had stock :)
